When Using Our App

When using the Bloume app, your sensitive health data remains on your device. Our team cannot access your data to view, edit, remove, restore otherwise process this data. It is important to note that the security of the data you enter into the Bloume app is dependent on the device you are using, we recommend ensuring appropriate access and security controls are implemented.

Please note that due to the privacy first nature of our app, it is not possible for us to restore your data should your device be lost, stolen or otherwise unusable, this ensures that your sensitive health data never leaves your control and is never stored anywhere we could access it. We recommend that you maintain backups of your data to restore to a new device should this be necessary.

This commitment does not include account identifiers required to operationalise your account, subscriptions or other interactions such as rewards and content engagement across our services.

Where We Get Personal Information From

  • Directly from you or inferred through your interactions with our services
  • Automatically collected such as Cookies and other similar technologies when interacting with our services
  • Social media where you interact with our services via social media platforms and content creators operating on our behalf

Where personal data is processed because it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, we will be unable to provide our services without the required information.

Data Protection Principles

Bloume operates on a privacy first basis and has implemented technical and organisational safeguards to provide assurance of the confidentiality, security and integrity of the data you provide to us, including:

  • Data minimisation, we only collect the data we need for the purposes we have described.
  • Purpose limitation, data is only ever used for the purposes described in our privacy notice. We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • Storage limitation, we do not keep your data longer than is necessary for the purposes it was collected. Where possible, we operate a zero-retention model, meaning that your data is removed from our systems immediately following processing. Please see retention below.
  • Integrity and confidentiality are core to our business, we do not share your data unless necessary and only with appropriate safeguards and contractual clauses in place. When using our app, your data is stored on your device, we do not hold your sensitive personal data and cannot view the data you enter into the app or in conversations with Aiya.
  • Lawful, fair and transparent is assured through overarching privacy notices and just in time consent requests as you engage with additional features. We do not ask consent for data processing unless it is relevant to the services that you are accessing.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services and for a reasonable period thereafter to enable us to meet our contractual and legal obligations and to deal with complaints and claims.

At the end of the retention period, your personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized, for example by aggregation with other data, so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.

Use Of Artificial Intelligence

Bloume utilises AI to enhance user experience and provision relevant content on our app. In all cases, we are committed to providing transparent, safe and controlled AI interactions and ensure:

  • We always tell you are interacting with AI.
  • Sensitive data is only used to enhance your experience and provide relevant recommendations, AI does not make health care recommendations or assumptions.
  • We have a 0 data retention approach for AI, your conversations are removed from the server at session close and stored only on your device. This cannot be accessed by Bloume or our third parties.
  • We undertake periodic quality assurance and safety checks of our AI to ensure outcomes align with our core principles and safeguards.

How We Protect Your Data

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data that we process from unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration or destruction. Security measures include (but are not limited to):

  • Multi-factor authentication on all accounts
  • Role based access for all systems, platforms and processes containing personal data
  • Security logging, monitoring and auditing to track access and actions within our development environment
